Professional football in Turkey has been suspended following an incident where Halil Umut Meler, a top referee, was punched to the ground by MKE Ankaraguchu president Faruk Koca at the end of a High-stakes league match.
The altercation, taking place at the final whistle, escalated into chaotic scene with players and officials either joining the melee or attempting to intervene.
