Great-Grandfather becomes the world’s oldest living man at age 111
John Tinniswood, a great-grandfather from Merseyside, has officially become the world’s oldest living man at the remarkable age off 111 years and 220+ days.
Despite his extraordinary longevity, Tinniswood doesn’t attribute it to any specific lif style choices or diet, although he does enjoy indulging in battered fish and chips every Friday.
Residing in a care home in Southport, Tinniswood maintains a cheerful demeanor, with staff describing him as a big “chatterbox”. He attributes his long life to pure luck, suggesting that longevity is largely beyond ones control.
A lifelong Liverpool FC fan, Tinniswood refrains from smoking as well as limiting his alcohol consumption. He stays informed by listening to the radio and still manages his finances independently. His advice for maintaining health revolves around moderation, cautioning against excessive indulgence in any activity.
